Drop -IN

The key to any sport is practice, kayaking is no different.

In the world of kayaking this means time in a boat.

  •  time paddling to increase endurance,
  • time to refine your strokes,
  • learning new strokes
  • learning strategy

In the winter this is hard to do in Edmonton, when everything is frozen.   EWP rents pool time at the Kinsmen Sport Centre, which is home to two 50 m pools and a dive tank.   In the summer EWP paddles out of the river valley or Rundle Park.

We believe in giving our members the best chance of success by providing water time for them to practice.

Now if you think paddling in a pool is boring, well we spice it up with canoe polo.

Not your thing, try out and practice those play boat moves.

Still  not for you well you can just paddle around, and get tips from those around you, make friends, find others interested in the same paddling you do.

Or would you rather teach other skills, you can become an instructor or just give advice.

Interested in helping others enjoy kayaking our adaptive program in the summer is always looking for volunteers.

EWP is the largest multidisciplinary club in Alberta and we want to help you achieve your goals.
