Whitewater

During the summer, we try to offer a few river trips. Please also check out the Alberta Whitewater Association website for many more river experiences or offerings from other clubs around the province – https://www.albertawhitewater.ca/

In the past, we have gone to the Brierlies rapid out by Rocky Mountain house as it provides a great variety of features for the beginner and the advanced paddler. Other rivers that we have been in the past are the Lobstick, Red Deer, Sulphur, Whirlpool, Kananaskis, Old Man, Castle, Brazeau and the lower Maligne. The Pembina river just west of Edmonton is used as the introduction to moving water for people coming out of the winter pool sessions. It allows for people to get the feel for eddy lines and moving water. Hope to see you out on river next summer!

Be sure to check back regularly for announcements on upcoming trips.
