Last Updated: February 3, 2017

The posted price of lessons includes all paddling equipment.

Price does not include Travel, Food or Camping, unless specified.

EWP Membership must be renewed annually and is required for ALL EWP Programs and is therefore INCLUDED in the lessons price, where applicable.

EWP Members will pay a reduced course rate to account for their membership.

EWP reserves the right to cancel lessons if under subscribed, or decline registrations if over subscribed.

EWP refund policy

The membership portion of the lesson price is not refunded upon cancellation by the participant.

There will be NO REFUND for any cancellation by the participant one week or less from the lesson start.

If you do not receive your CONFIRMATION of Registration at least ONE week before the first lesson, or if just have questions about some of our lessons, please contact us.

Important Note

ALL lesson registrants or parents must sign the Edmonton Whitewater Paddlers Membership / Waiver Form prior to the first lesson. Print a copy from here, fill it in and bring it to the first lesson. This is necessary to provide each paddler with the Liability Insurance coverage required for our utilization of City of Edmonton Sports Facilities and Parks for our lessons, training sessions and competitions.

All our late fall, winter and early spring lessons are held at the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre at 9100 Walterdale Hill.

Starting in June and ending in September our lessons can be held at either Rundle Park or Buena Vista Park. Please check the course information for the actual location.

Youth Lessons

EWP offers classes to kids as young as 6 years old and emphasizes a fun learning environment in order to develop basic kayaking skills. Older youth are transitioned into our youth program (or start there) and are exposed to all aspects of the sport, including whitewater, rolling basics and canoe/kayak polo. There are many opportunities to get folded into the main EWP training group that practices in an adjacent pool at the same time when they aren’t participating and helping with lessons themselves. Click the button below to inquire further about our youth programs.
