COTN 2019 Bulletin 1 – January 9, 2019

Our annual Cup of the North tournament will be held this year from February 1 – February 3.

Location: Kinsmen Sports Centre

Online registration is now LIVE!

The first thing that needs to happen is your team leader/captain/manager needs to register your team. Once your team is registered, you will be able to register as a competitor for that team. So make sure you contact your team leader ASAP to get your team registered. We are capping participation at 16 this year and as usual, we are expecting to fill up completely and quickly.

If you’d like to simply buy a ticket to the Banquet and are not a player, you can do that by clicking here.

Please see the below video for a quick tutorial on registering a team. Registering as a player is done by navigating to the same page, but selecting “Individual” instead of “Team” near the top of the registration form. Once doing so, you will be able to select your team from the drop down list that appears. If you do not see your team in the drop down list, it means that you team leader has not yet registered it.

Online registration will be the ONLY way you can register both your team and yourself as a competitor this year. So team captains/leaders, please tell your teammates to register online as well once you have registered your team.

Can’t wait to see everyone in February!

Team Registration: $500
Non-EWP Insurance Cost: $5/player
Banquet Cost: $20/player
Boat Rental Cost: $50*

*Note: Private boat rentals cannot be guaranteed. Depending on demand, your boat may have to be shared with at least one other person.

Youth Lessons

EWP offers classes to kids as young as 6 years old and emphasizes a fun learning environment in order to develop basic kayaking skills. Older youth are transitioned into our youth program (or start there) and are exposed to all aspects of the sport, including whitewater, rolling basics and canoe/kayak polo. There are many opportunities to get folded into the main EWP training group that practices in an adjacent pool at the same time when they aren’t participating and helping with lessons themselves. Click the button below to inquire further about our youth programs.
