Whitewater Boat Rental Policy

EWP Summer Rental Policy for Whitewater Kayak(s) and Gear

EWP may provide Kayaks and Gear (paddle, helmet, spray deck and PFD) to members who wish to use the kayaks and gear outside of club activities.

  1. Youth wishing to use kayaks and gear outside of club activities will be charged $10 for a weekend(Friday-Monday), $5 a day Monday – Friday or $100 for the season.
  2. Adults wishing to use kayaks and gear outside of club activities will be charged $20 for a weekend (Friday-Monday), $10 a day Monday – Friday or $200 for the season.

A weekend rental is from Friday-Monday. With pickup on Friday from the clubhouse and drop-off on Monday or Tuesday at the clubhouse. Alternate pickup and drop offs times during the season can be arranged at the discretion of the club rental coordinator.

All rental equipment is expected to be stored at the clubhouse when not in use (except for seasonal rentals). Failure to return equipment will result in a suspension of the members rental privileges.

Seasonal rentals of the aforementioned boats may be stored at the member’s private residence for the duration of the season. A season rental is from May 1st-September 30th. A damage deposit is required for all seasonal rentals.

Other notes:

  • All members wishing to rent any kayaks or gear from EWP must be in good standing and pay for their rental in advance of being issued the kayak(s) and gear.
  • All kayaks and gear are rented on a first come first serve basis and need to be confirmed with the rental coordinator before pickup.
  • Club activities include club led river trips, club paddling from the clubhouse on the North Saskatchewan River and club paddling at Rundle Park.
  • Anyone wishing to rent the Jackson Duo Kayak to be used outside of club activities will be charged $30 for the weekend. This kayak is not available for season long rentals.

Adult Lessons

Learn the basics of whitewater kayaking in a safe and warm environment from experienced EWP members and instructors. Once ready, there are also many opportunities to get folded into the main EWP training group that practices in an adjacent pool, try canoe/kayak polo, or continue on to specialty classes in bracing and rolling.
